When lost or damaged

In case of loss, SAPICA Registered IC Cards can be reissued.
The card's balance and points will be transferred to a new card after the loss reissue procedure is complete.
SAPICA Open IC Cards can not be reissued.

If you lose your SAPICA

Apply for loss reissue at a subway station counter or Commuter Pass Sales Office, or bus office or bus terminal ticket center.

Fill out the required form, and present an official form of ID (passport, etc.) The lost SAPICA card will be canceled, and a replacement registered. The customer will then receive a lost card reissue order slip.

New SAPICA reissue procedure
(from the day after application).

Return to the application location with the lost card reissue order slip, official ID (passport, etc.), reissue fee of ¥500 and a deposit of ¥500. (If more than 14 days have passed since application, the customer will have to reapply.)

When your SAPICA stops working

Your SAPICA can be reissued if it stops working or otherwise malfunctions.
The card's balance and points will be transferred to a new card after the malfunction reissue procedure is complete.

Apply for malfunction reissue at a subway station counter or Commuter Pass Sales Office, or bus office or bus terminal.

Fill out the required form, and present the unusable SAPICA. The malfunctioning SAPICA card will be canceled, and a replacement registered. The customer will then receive a malfunctioning card reissue order slip.

Take the malfunctioning card reissue order slip and the unusable SAPICA to the location specified on the slip. (If more than 14 days have passed since application, the customer will have to reapply.)

If investigation shows the customer is responsible for the damage, a reissue fee of ¥500 and a deposit of ¥500 for the new card will be required. In addition, the initial ¥500 deposit for the unusable SAPICA can not be returned.
